What’s everyone’s opinion of the whole series? I’ve really gotten attached to the author as a whole- she writes hilariously and it’s so easy to read! But if you’re going to read anything of hers first, read Heated Rivalry.

I don’t know how interested I am in book 1- from what I can see on goodreads it seems a bit too sugary for my taste (I need some spicy shit, if you know what I mean 🇷🇺) but if that’s your thing I can totally see that being awesome! I’m about to read book 4, because i enjoy Reid’s writing style and I love the little world she’s built. I enjoyed it I didn’t love it like I did book 2, but I still think it’s definitely worth a read. Book 3 was meanwhile very sweet and a quieter romance, I think, which made sense considering it was Ryan’s story. Spoilers, but you guys can imagine the shrieking sound of delight I made when I read tough guy’s epilogue.īut anyway, I want to discuss the series as a whole. I also admit I read heated rivalry first (book 2) and then I read tough guy (book 3) just so I could get any scraps of Shane and Ilya. I fucking adore him and Shane (who’s also wonderful). He’s actually gotten me a little interested in hockey so I can better picture what a good hockey player looks like. He’s become one of my favorite heroes in ALL of the romances I’ve read. OKAY SO to get it out of the way I’m fucking obsessed with Ilya.
